This is my very first wheel altered project. After I made a tall project I stopped the wheel and bent the sides in and turned the project into a calm color again
This extra credit project was a very simple thrown cylinder. The point of this project was to improve my glazing skills earlier in the year because it's something I've always struggled with. I'd like to think that this was a massive improvement and the dark green gives a calm and relaxed feeling. This is my seconds choice project which is a mug that has been thrown on the wheel. This mug I tried to improve the handle and make it smoother. But I am not please with how small it is and in the future I hope I can throw bigger mugs. This is my second plate that I made on the wheel. I tried to lessen the amount of clay and make it thinner through the entire peice, but at the same time I also cracked the plate. I think that the crack give I character and this plate isn't completely ruined so in please with the improvement This vase is a wheel made project. The skills that I tried to improve on we're glazing with this peice and I tried to give it a better glazing job and not have any bumps in the glaze or underglaze it This is my tall project that I had created on the wheel. This is the tallest thing that I have made so far and I learned and used the skill of pulling and practicing not having so much clay sitting on the bottom of the project. I also engraved a design on on project and tried to use more cheerful colors |
