This Frankenpot was created by myself, Connor Smith, and Nick Robel. My part in the project was making the middle cylinder, putting all the cylinders together, and when the bottom of the project fell out I had to fix it and blend the entire project together and smooth it out
This is my set of three project. For this project all three of these cylinders were glazed with Italian straw. For my other projects I've always gone with a less brightend color and I decided to go with a more cheerful feeling with these cylinders. The new skills that I practiced with is making a lip for the top of the cylinder This bowl I had thrown on the wheel is by far the most complex design that I've ever done . The different colors represent the cheerfulness and the uplifting feeling that multiple bright colors present. The new skills I learned while making this project are how to pull bigger project and how improved on my footing skills This is my flower pot that was created on the wheel. The two cool colors are opposites but they also blend together in a more mellow fashion. The new skill I used was to use two different colors with the peice. I would try to improve my pot by using the colors differently and changing the green to the bottom instead This bowl was created on the wheel. It's wild glazing and color represents the coolness of the bowl and gives it a mood of nature and peace. What I learned was how to pull a lot better or quality and I was say that the texture of the bowl is its finest feature because of the untamed pattern. This is my case that was made on the wheel. Although this height of the case is lacking and the roundness represents a bowl, the lip on the project is curved and I used the technique of shaping the body of piece itself and I have learned how to proper create a vase now. The colors of this vase are more edgy but calm at the same time because of the splatter glazing. The green represents the calm Experince you have with the piece and texture of the glaze I would say is it's best Quality. This was a tall cylinder was created on the wheel. Although the glaze did not turn out the way I had hoped the height of the cylinder is one of the tallest project I have ever created and I am very proud of it. The new skills I have learned are to not go so light on the glaze and how to pull the clay to greater heights. I would say the art element is the way that
This is a bowl that was created on the wheel. The new skills I have learned while making this bowl are that I have found that I was pulling up the clay entirely wrong. Also I have learned to not over use the glaze . The shading that the shadow green presents presses the feeling of a more darker essence and the ark element I would give this bowl would be texture.
